Fleece blankets
lots of fleece blankets!

Spring, Summer and Fall 2005 ... and beyond!

blank fleece blanket

It was during the summer that Joann's had a fabulous sale on their fleece yardage. This stuff was really, really soft and cuddly, although nowhere near as good as Minkee Blankee. I decided that I would make my 3 daughters a fleece throw .... big enough to cover them while they are in a chair or wrap around themselves. Furthermore, I would actually use my embroidery machine for embellishment! Oh gosh! A real project!

As usual, these blankets presented some Real Life Learning Experiences. [sigh]

Since I ended up making quite a few blankets, I've decided to make each blanket their own page, rather than having this page be humungously large with both pictures and text.

Some of the designs and fonts used were/are freebies. They were downloaded from various sites, which are listed. They may or may not be still available, as some of the sites have a rotating selection of freebies.
